Often times a disease will cause discharges from different body orifices, including the eyes, ears, nose, and anus. (...)

Often times a disease will cause discharges from different body orifices, including the eyes, ears, nose, and anus. Many sick dogs are left feeling miserable by the accumulation of the discharge that they cannot remove and can irritate underlying tissues.

Here are a few easy cleansing methods that offer great relief to your pet:

Eyes: In order to clean crusts and secretions from the eyes and eyelids, you can make a natural, non-irritating salt solution by mixing ¼ teaspoon of sea salt to a cup of filtered or distilled water. Stir the mixture well and use it to clean the eyes using a cloth or gauze. Once the eyes are clean, apply one drop of one of the following natural treatments in each eye: You can use almond oil for a mild irritation, castor oil for more irritated and inflamed eyes, or cod-liver oil for eyes that are extremely dry or ulcerated.

Ears: For ears that contain too much oily or waxy secretion, drop about ½ teaspoon of almond oil into the ear hole. You can do this by using a dropper or a squeeze bottle. To start the procedure, warm the oil in a cup that is partly immersed in a sink or a bowl of hot water. Gently but firmly lift the ear flap or tip. Have someone help you hold the dog's head to keep it in place and also keep the dog distracted. If you let go or the dog pulls away before you finish with the procedure, he will shake the oil all over you. Make sure the almond oil runs down into his ear for a few seconds. As you are holding the ear flap, reach down with your other hand and gently massage the outside of the ear canal at the bottom of the ear opening. It will feel like a firm plastic tube that you can compress as you massage. When done right, you should hear a squishy sound. This procedure loosens up and dissolves the lodged wax. Use a tissue to remove the excess oil and debris. Use a cotton swab to wipe around the ear opening, but never inside the ear canal.

Nose: Carefully clean the secretion using a cloth or gauze saturated with warm water. This procedure takes patience because it involves waiting for the debris to soften so you can easily remove it. It may be necessary to have two or three short sessions instead of a single long one. Once the nose is clean and dry, gently smear the area with almond oil, either alone or mixed with vitamin E oil from a capsule. Repeat the process two to three times a day.

Anus: The anus will often get inflamed because of excessive diarrhea which causes the surrounding tissue to become irritated and get infected with bacteria. When the dog is suffering from diarrhea, you can keep the anus clean by dabbing it gently using a damp cloth. Do not rub the area to avoid further irritation. Pat it dry and apply calendula ointment two to three times a day.

I have always suffered from anxiety. I am having financial problems and emotional problems with my family. I'm to the point where I can't even function to attempt to resolve these issues. I don't have health insurance (or cash) to see a doctor or get medication. Do you know of any natural ways I can try to ease my anxiety enough to focus and function somewhat in my life? Thank you.
I have no one that I know that I can talk to about this either.
Single and live by myself.
Thank you, gianina.

I have had anexiety disorder for the past 15 years, and troughout those years I have pretty much tried any doctor, crazy medication etc.
What I would suggest now is "Panic Attacks Woorkboo", by DAvid Carbonell,Phd. The only way to beat this disorder is to help yourself. Forget about doctors and pills(harmful chemicals), even if you have insurance I wouldnt suggest you go to the.
Also try meditation, and excerise! Good luck!

Heartburn can be one of the most horrible conditions to ever suffer. Some have described their symptoms to be like having a heart attack. (...)

Heartburn can be one of the most horrible conditions to ever suffer. Some have described their symptoms to be like having a heart attack. Personally speaking, I know that heartburn for me has been waking up in the early hours of the morning feeling terrible like I have just been sick.

One morning, the heartburn and reflux was so bad, that I felt like I was going to die. It was one of the quickest trips to the doctor I had ever made in my life. Lucky for me, the Janssen-Cilag drug representative had just been in to see my doctor recently and had left her many samples of the heartburn and reflux treatment know as Pariet.

While there are many ways available to treat heartburn you can be the judge if the heartburn medication and treatments that are out there is suitable for you. The best way is to first know the severity of your heartburn. You should talk to your doctor to see if these medications and treatments will be of help to you.

There are many types of prescription heartburn medications and treatments that you can get, as well as very effective natural remedies. A few of those medications and treatments however may have side effects like reducing the strength of the LES.

Before you begin a course of treatment with these medications and treatments, you should always consult your physician regarding their side effects.

These prescription medications and treatments include the anti-spasmotics like Levsin, Librax, and Bentyl. The calcium channel blockers Procardia, Cardizem, Calan, and Isoptin are a type of heartburn medication or treatment that can affect the LES muscle's effectiveness. The other medications that produce side effects for the LES are the anti-depressants Elavil and Doxepia amongst others.

You have a choice of buying heartburn medication or treatment that can reduce and or totally eliminate the production of high levels of excess stomach acid. These medications and treatments are said to have the ability to increase the strength of the Lower Esophageal Sphincter. With the excess stomach acid production being stopped the chances of acid refluxing into the esophagus is less.

Unfortunately, these drugs are known to contain certain adverse side effects. These side effects can make your heartburn medication or treatment unhelpful. The heartburn medication or treatment Propulsid has been taken off the market because it is known to have cardiac side effects.

Another way of treating heartburn is via surgery. The objective of heartburn surgery is to strengthen the LES muscle. A successful surgery can greatly relieve and correct severe acid reflux and heartburn. This surgery is called the Laparoscopic Technique. In this technique the surgery is accomplished through tiny holes incised in the belly button and the upper abdomen. Recovery is quicker with this technique.

Then you get the newer nonsurgical endoscopic heartburn medication or treatment. These are the EndoCinch and the NDO Plicator method. The EndoCinch is also referred to as the endoscopic fundoplication or endoluminal gastroplication technique. This involves the use of a sewing device that is attached to the end of the video endoscope. This instrument lets the endoscopist carefully place stitches in the stomach below the LES. Then a row of stitches produces a pleat in the upper part of your stomach. This reduces the pressure against the LES and also the acid reflux. General anesthesia is not used, there are no surgical incisions made, and recovery for the patient is quicker.

In addition to the EndoCinch, The NDO Plicator is another suturing method. This method tightens the LES valve and reduces stomach acid reflux as well. Generally, these techniques are effective in reducing or eliminating heartburn treatment and in controlling heartburn symptoms. Check with your doctor to see if any of the mentioned heartburn medication or treatment methods will help you. Heartburn medications and treatments can greatly improve the quality of your life.

Personally speaking, if I had not been prescribed with Pariet, my quality of life would be simply terrible. Therefore, always ask your doctor if you can try a sample pack prior to purchasing a full course. This can save you lots money as well as shortlist suitable treatments that are just right for you at minimal expense.

There are a lot of good reasons to make your own skin care products. Many people are opting for a natural approach to lifestyle, from dietary choices to skin care products. By making your own treatments, you can be sure of exactly what goes into them. Some of you may have had an allergic reaction to many commercial products and seek natural skin care products out of necessity. Maybe you feel that commercial skin care products are too expensive and you just don't want to pay high prices.

A healthy diet is also essential to radiant skin. Eating fruits and vegetables everyday is very important. If you don't like fruits or vegetables, experiment with them until you find something you do like. Healthy skin is a result of many factors: a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, good skin care practices and a positive, relaxed mental attitude.

Water is also crucial for healthy skin, keeping it soft and supple. Many of the natural skin care recipes include water to cleanse the skin externally; but it is even more beneficial when consumed internally. Doctors recommend drinking 8-ounce glasses of water each day, and more when you are sick or out in the sun or heat. You will get much better results from your skin care treatments if you consume the recommended amounts of water.

Another way to help hydrate the skin and receive vitamins and minerals is by drinking herbal tea. They are easy to make and there are a number of different teas to choose from. Do some tea tasting to see which herbs you like best, and try combining several. Mixing herbal tea with fruit juice is a great way to get natural sweetness and the benefits of the herbs at the same time.

Some Herbs for the Skin and Hair:

Black alder (for skin eruptions)

Bergamot tea (cleanses the system)

Burdock

Dandelion

Horsetail

Nettles

Oat straw

Sarsaparilla

Stevia

Yellow dock

Regular exercise promotes good blood circulation, which in turn helps maintain healthy skin. Try to find a form of exercise that you enjoy and make it a part of your daily routine. Exercise also helps relieve stress and promotes a healthy mental attitude, another element in achieving healthy radiant skin. Relaxation is the key to getting the most these herbal treatments.

Imagine your airways constricting, and not being able to breathe. A silent suffocation. This is what a day in the life of an asthma sufferer feels like. (...)

Imagine your airways constricting, and not being able to breathe. A silent suffocation. This is what a day in the life of an asthma sufferer feels like. Most asthma patients live a limited lifestyle due to the restrictions that their disease places on them. Not only do must they avoid particular activities, but some may even have to avoid certain locations. Some asthma sufferers feel as if they have to live their lives in a box and cannot get past the limitations that they have set for themselves. Most asthma patients use asthma treatment inhalers to deliver the proper medicine to their lungs when they feel an attack coming on, or they need breathing relief in general. For the asthma patient who lacks insurance, these inhalers can be quite an expensive and many not be attainable at all. With the combined expense, lack of relief for some, and the pursuit of a safer treatment, many patients have begun to research natural asthma treatments.

One of the best and most effective natural asthma treatments is to avoid triggers that can induce an asthma attack. Depending on the severity of the asthma, triggers may be different areas and things that you should avoid. Yes, this particular natural asthma treatment is, of course, based on trial and error of the sufferers personal experiences with attacks and asthma symptoms, but, overall, is the best natural asthma treatment.

There are many triggers that a person with asthma should avoid. Some of these triggers include extreme climates, smoking, certain pollens, certain types of furniture as well as certain types of flooring. It all depends on the person. Smoking is also a trigger for many asthma attacks. If smoking triggers the onset of symptoms, refrain from doing it. It is also very important to avoid other smokers as well. Extreme climates can induce the onset of asthmatic symptoms, so you want to avoid hot and cold activities. Though a very simple technique in natural asthma treatments, it may not always be easy to refrain from the things that cause our symptoms, but we will be much healthier and happier if we do.

It is possible to live a long time, with all the fullness that the asthma patient desires, if one follows the natural asthma treatment. Of course, there is the possibility that natural asthma treatments may not be successful alone and that medication and other treatment options may have to be administered, but, if the asthma is mild enough, the natural asthma treatment method should be effective.

Sometimes, the asthma patient must avoid things that he or she love in order to stay healthy. This experience may not always be a pleasant one, but using the natural asthma treatment will allow the patient to be healthier and experience less symptoms. In the long run, the lungs will be able to function with more stability and the life that the asthma sufferer leads will be fuller.

As with any asthma treatment, the patient should consult their doctor with the fact that they would like to attempt the natural asthma treatment. It is to be expressed that this asthma treatment alone may not always work independently for the sufferer, but is definitely worth a try.

Natural Medicine A 5000 Year-Old Medical Secret Could Help Relieve Stress

When you get sick, you go to the doctor. And the doctor will, of course, prescribe medicines. You will go and buy medicines. You take them, and hopefully, you get well. (...)

When you get sick, you go to the doctor. And the doctor will, of course, prescribe medicines. You will go and buy medicines. You take them, and hopefully, you get well. This is how the health profession goes on nowadays a cycle of diagnosis and prescription. If anyone were to give you herbs for medicine, you would probably say that that person was a quack but a few natural herbs can help relieve stress

But nowadays, studies are being conducted to see if there are really is any merit to what is called natural medicine.

Natural medicine is the use of natural methods, herbal medicines, and traditional practices to heal ailments. Every culture has a form of natural medicine. In ancient cultures, village medicine men served as the doctors of the community, passing on medical knowledge to the apprentices that followed them.

Many categories of the healing methods fall under natural medicine. Among these are traditional medicine, complementary medicine, and alternative medicine.

Usually, natural medicine refers to medical practices that were in place before the advent of modern medicine.

This includes herbal medicine, or phytotherapy, which is prevalent in Chinese, Ayurvedic(or Indian), and Greek medicine.

Upon the advent of modern medicine, many professionals discarded the use of herbs in favor of man-made medicine. The fact that these treatments are based on the healing properties of some herbs was forgotten.

For example, opium, digitalis, quinine, and aspirin all have their roots in traditional medicine.

Natural medicine can be considered as a lost art. This does not mean that it has lost efficacy over time. In some cases, natural therapy is actually better than modern medicine. This leads some doctors to seriously consider and study the possible uses of natural medicine

Before we continue, it is important to stress that not all the natural remedies are legitimate. It would help to only try those remedies which have been thoroughly studied and are relatively risk free.

Take herbal medicine for example. There are many well-documented and studied herbal remedies available. However, only those that deal with minor ailments such as cough, colds, fever, skin rashes, and its ilk are likely to be recommended by health professionals. These remedies are sometimes superior to synthetic medicine. This is because herbal medicines are less likely to cause negative side effects.

Currently there are numerous organizations that study the effects and advocacy of natural medicine among which is herbal medicine. Some governments and health agencies openly advocate the use of natural methods since they are inexpensive and relatively risk-free.

As their studies compile, more herbs and treatments are added to the list of accepted medicines. However, many herbs and treatments have been proven to be bogus medicine. This represents a challenge for both the user and the agencies because they have to ascertain that the treatments they either use or advocate are legitimate.

There exist today many alternative medical treatments that fall under natural medicine. However, not all of them have been proven to be effective. You could mention homeopathy, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and other alternative medical treatments. It would pay to consult the experts as to the legitimacy of these treatments.

Natural medicine should also be thought of as an accompanying medicine. Right now, the current collective medical thought suggests that natural medicine be used only to supplement accepted modern medical practices. In that case of minor ailments your expert we actually advise you to take natural therapies instead.

The practice of modern medicine revolves around diagnosing an illness and prescribing treatments for such. Natural medicine is helpful because it suggests that treatment be not necessarily given only when sick. Natural medicine strives to make each patient practice good health habits. These habits include good diet, healthy living, and the regular natural treatment.

It is this same line of thought that leads our parents to tell us to eat our vegetables. Yes, a healthy lifestyle and will do no harm to our well-being. And this is the foundation of natural medicine, may it be massage, herbal medicine, aromatherapy or others.

It is funny but true that science, in its quest for excellence, is studying the knowledge of sages past. This, surprisingly, leads us back to the remedies nature offers. The possibilities of finding remedies to everyday illnesses in natural medicine are encouraging. So staying tuned to studying these remedies is worthwhile until we can verify that these therapies are truly helpful to our health and our society.

Thanks!!
Sorry, it's drugs, drugs or drugs. St John's Wort may well send you manic, Lithium Orotate will probably do nothing at all. Massive doses of fish oil (Omega-3's) can help a little, but you have to take so much of the stuff you'll smell like a seal.
